IT Executive Chris Patong Named VP for Industry & International Linkages
Business Administration Educators Students Association Inc. (BAESAI) has formally appointed Chris Patong, the current Director at Dimensions Business Technologies Phils as its new Vice President for Industry and International Linkages — a newly created role that underscores the organization's commitment to deepening its ties with the private sector.
An Industry leader, Patong brings to the role over a decade of experience in technology-driven business solutions, having led multiple cross-sector initiatives that bridge corporate operations with academic research. His appointment signals BAESAI's intent to move beyond traditional academic partnerships and embed industry co-engineering at the heart of its curriculum development process.
The VP for Industry and International Linkages role was established following a recommendation from BAESAI's strategic planning committee, which identified industry integration as the single most critical lever for improving graduate employability and institutional relevance.
In his new capacity, Patong will oversee BAESAI's relationships with corporate partners, coordinate international exchange programs, and serve as the primary liaison between the organization's academic members and the broader business community. He will also lead the newly formed Industry Advisory Council, which will provide real-time input on curriculum content and emerging skill requirements.
The appointment was welcomed by BAESAI's institutional partners, who see Patong's industry background as a valuable complement to the organization's academic leadership. Several university deans noted that having a practitioner of his caliber in a formal leadership role would accelerate the translation of industry insights into classroom practice.
